Berlin’s worldwide reputation as a Techno and party metropolis is no accident! The selection of excellent clubs offering top-notch music seems almost as endless as the weekends out there. In short: The Top 10 Nightclubs in Berlin have a fairly subjective ranking, but there is no guarantee. Most of the clubs in Berlin are located in the east of the city between Alexanderplatz, Kreuzberg, Friedrichshain and Rummelsburg. Berghain / Panorama Bar

The huge “Techno Church” in the east of the city is not considered the best club in the world for nothing. Although Berghain is among the best clubs in the world, it is quite difficult to get in! Few people can always keep up with the top-notch lineup. When you pass the door, it’s easy to enjoy the outside world with the disco and house at the Panorama Bar or the harsh, dark techno on the Berghain floor. You will not realize how time passes. Don’t forget to go home!

Tresor

The legendary techno temple of the 90s, Tresor, once a first in Berlin and located in the former combined heat and power plant in Mitte since 2007, is here. It is a solid alternative in terms of size and generally star-dominated array. For those who can’t get into Berghain, Tresor must remain a plan B.

About Blank

This is an insider tip: // About Blank. The hetero-friendly party series Buttons is particularly popular and usually spreads over several days and nights. Operators are proud that they are close to Antifa. But now they proudly charge an entrance fee at Berghain level. This doesn’t always justify the more local Dj reservations. Young crowd dance – from House, Techno and Dubstep in a small club to the chilling and fun disco sounds of summer in the large, magical garden. From time to time, there are small club concerts on weekdays.

KitKatClub

For over 20 years the legendary fetish club has established a permanent place on the party scene. It has shared facilities with the Sage Club in Mitte since 2007. The Club dress code is strictly self-explanatory. But in the erotic atmosphere of the dark rooms, the sensual crowd and the four floors of techno, house and trance-like to drop the veil of sexual preferences. Attention: Cell phones are not allowed in the club and are required to be left in the cloakroom.

Kater Blau (Katerholzig)

The successor to Bar 25, located directly on the Spree, is a great place for all techno lovers, even after it reopened as Katerblau at Holzmarkt. While it takes care of everything between chill out and high energy, the gate watches a balanced mix of regular, newcomers that are definitely but mostly fair. Although there are rumours that the club is closing, club operators cannot find a vacant place.

Sisyphos

It’s a bit like a hangover, as for Sisyphos, Tresor, and Berghain. If you just want to party, the cult club at Rummelsburger Bucht is a safe place to go. It has a large open area with a pond and an artificial beach, especially in summer. It’s a great place to laze around on all Sundays.

Polygon

Polygon (formerly Kosmonaut) is a bit off the usual tourist route east of Berlin. As such, it attracts a highly local yet still colourful audience. There is a garden floor that is played all night in summer. In winter, there are 3 floors where people dance and sweat. Since the club has new operators since 2018, Berlin needs to re-enter the nightlife first.

Chalet

It is a multi-storey residential building located near the Spree and converted into a club. It impresses with a creative ambience, at least as relaxed as colourful mixed audiences and long parties.

House of Weekend (Weekend Club)

It is the club on the upper floors of Haus der Reisen, located directly at Alexanderplatz and therefore a popular meeting point for tourists. It offers more than a central location, the house has only been presented with a modern design from the 2014 major renovation and rebuild. On the weekend, the roof terrace, which is only 60 meters high, is worth seeing as a more elegant and tranquil alternative to the city’s many bad clubs.

Prince Charles

First of all, the small but beautiful Kreuzberg club hosts both electro and hip-hop parties. Operators strive to keep both at a consistently high level. The hugely successful “Burgers Hip Hop” events or the glorious Black Music Jam sessions by The Church are a welcome change to the Berlin scene.
