How Dıd You Get Into Djıng?
In 2002, I started as a resident DJ in The Club 20, which was the only underground nightclub in Antalya at that time. I was opening the club with my Tech House and Progressive House sets. In this way, I had the chance to share the stage with many famous DJs from different cities of Turkey and the world. Then I took the stage in various night clubs, beach clubs, events, and festivals.
Is There A Dj That You Inspıres You And See As An Idol?
There are not one but many names. Tangun, Cure-Shot, U.F.U.K., Tarkan, Beyza are the main names ..
Does The Dj Absolutely Have To Have Notation And Musıc Knowledge?
I think that a basic level of a musical note and harmony knowledge is necessary and that this way, a story can be told and feelings can be guided, as well as entertaining the participants.
Does The Dj Have A Retırement Age Or A Tıme To Quıt? Can You Be Left Djıng?
Scientifically, although there are sensory deficiencies as the age progresses, I think that experience in DJ is important and necessary as in every profession. I think there is absolutely no retirement age. We see that many names in the top 100 lists are above middle age. As time progresses, music continues to be in the middle of their lives, although there are people who want to retire due to the fatigue of the nightlife.
Is There A Mıx, Song, Or Track You Wouldn’t Mınd If I Dıdn’t Play At A Party?
No not. I take care to prepare different playlists for each party and event. In this way, I both improve myself and follow new songs and ensure that my followers have different experiences at each party.
Do They Have A Goal In Musıc And Djıng?
Of course. As in every profession, it is important to set goals when starting out and to update these goals over time. To be able to create a roadmap and to capture a rising graph, determining possible targets will increase your speed and guide you to determine your needs.
How Have You Been Affected By Covıd-19?
Like almost everyone else, I was negatively affected. Since our areas of duty are closed and activities cannot be held, we experience both financial and moral deficiencies. I spend this period we cannot work by making training videos and preparations for the 2021 season. I try to spare time for things that I put off due to the busy pace of work.
How Can You Explaın The Dj’s Sıtuatıon Durıng The Pandemıc?
I guess I can’t explain. I had friends who sold their setups and headphones to survive. For the first time, I can say that we are going through such a troubled period. In the past, even though entertainment life was affected first in every negative event, the prolongation of the process forced everyone.
What Do You Thınk About The Quaıty Djs In The Market And Your Phenomenon Djs?
In the past, there were many times in the country that famous names took the stage. As in the example of Demet AKALIN, who switched from modeling to singer, there have been successful ones and those who have been erased. Phenomenon or not, if the person chooses the DJ profession and shows due diligence, and strives to improve himself, I have nothing to say. I think listeners who follow music closely can clearly see the difference between SHOWMAN and DJ.
Can You Be A Dj Wıth Innate Talent? Or Could It Be A Natural Dj Talent?
I think everyone is born with different talents, not as a DJ. For this reason, some people may be inclined to music, some people to sports, some people to mathematics. However, with education, everyone can progress in the profession. Some just progress faster thanks to talent.
What Are Your Recommendatıons For New Djs?
To learn musical notes and harmony. There are tutorial videos on Youtube for free. And that they should not forget that their studentship is not over in any profession, especially DJing and that they do not consider themselves superior to others.
Is It Intentıonal For Djs To Use Female Vocals? Or Is It Just A Coıncıdence?
I’m not sure I have any clear idea about this. Maybe it’s because they have tones that are more prone to electronic music.
Is There A Standard For Electronıc Musıc In The World? And Do You Thınk There Is An Improvement?
Music does not have a standard that electronic music can have. I think we can summarize it as what sounds nice and makes you feel something. However, the knowledge of music in the ear develops over time, and as we listen. Sticking to just one style can limit your mind and naturally your liking. After a certain point, it is necessary to be open to all the vibrations of the universe.
What Do You Thınk Of Now You Tech?
I think it is necessary and important, I support it.
