How Dıd You Get Into Djıng?

I started DJing in 2008 in the district of Karasu where I live. The club’s DJ said, “I’m leaving the job now.” I was alone in the cabin in front of 300 people. It is a memory that I cannot forget. My first song I played was “Chris Lawyer – We Gonna Feel It”.

Is There A Dj That You Inspıres You And See As An Idol?

I cannot say that I am inspired, but there are DJs that I follow fondly. The DJs I follow; U.F.U.K., Carl Cox and Dennis Cruz.

Does The Dj Absolutely Have To Have Notation And Musıc Knowledge?

I do not know any musical notes or musical knowledge. I just make music by feeling and to the energy of the people in front of me. I fully reveal my soul and feelings. If I do this job with a real feeling, I don’t think music knowledge is very important. I am one of those who think that notation and music knowledge is essential when I am interested in production.

Does The Dj Have A Retırement Age Or A Tıme To Quıt? Can You Be Left Djıng?

I think this is a very biased discourse. People think DJs can’t retire and get married. This is ridiculous. If you want, there are places where you can work and have insurance. If you want, you can retire. You can of course be left DJing. But if you really love music you can’t quit.

Is There A Mıx, Song, Or Track You Wouldn’t Mınd If I Dıdn’t Play At A Party?

Yes, there are 2 songs that I love very much. Chris Lawyer – We Gonna Feel It and Haddaway – What İs Love. If I am in a bad mood, I play these songs and recover.

Do They Have A Goal In Musıc And Djıng?

There certainly is. There are some jobs that everyone does fondly. DJing has remained like that since my childhood. My goal is always to play my music to larger audiences. Performing at home or abroad in better nightclubs and working as a resident DJ.

How Have You Been Affected By Covıd-19?

It is obvious that we are completely affected by Covid-19. Many places where I work are closed and I am not working at the moment. But I don’t want to be selfish about it. We have to be patient so that no more people die. I am willing to be isolated so that this bad situation will improve as soon as possible. If everyone thinks this way, it will ease the environment even if it is a little.

How Can You Explaın The Dj’s Sıtuatıon Durıng The Pandemıc?

This topic is a little deep. There are also people who have a very good financial situation and do DJing as a hobby. I do not think the pandemic affected them much. But there are people who have no other jobs. There are a lot of people who only profession in Turkey and in the world DJing. It is a pity for them, and it would be logical to make supports from the required places.

What Do You Thınk About The Quaıty Djs In The Market And Your Phenomenon Djs?

Things started to walk a little bit different in Turkey. Of course, phenomena have started to increase in the last 5 years. There are successful ones. There are many people who do not deserve that DJ booth that failed. The best answer to this question is Businessmen and Public. Very quality DJ’s in Turkey, they deserve more. I’m sure we need to put an end to this labor theft.

Can You Be A Dj Wıth Innate Talent? Or Could It Be A Natural Dj Talent?

You cannot be a DJ with innate talent. I think nobody can decide what their job or talent will be when they are born. This is something with tendency over time, of course, skill is required, desire and pursuit of work.

What Are Your Recommendatıons For New Djs?

My only advice to newcomers to DJing is that they definitely don’t stay in a certain style. DJing in Turkey and they want to make money out of it, it should be found in every style of music archives. Let them listen and learn every style and have a wide archive. It should have a music archive where he can play music according to every place he goes. If they do it fondly, they should definitely try to improve themselves.

Is It Intentıonal For Djs To Use Female Vocals? Or Is It Just A Coıncıdence?

I think it’s a coincidence. There are music with very good male vocals.

Is There A Standard For Electronıc Musıc In The World? And Do You Thınk There Is An Improvement?

The diversity of electronic music definitely I think it expands in Turkey recently. With this expansion, many new electronic DJs are expanding … The only problem is, the more spread in turkey that makes electronic music and places to be opened.

I started following Now You Tech recently. I saw that their work is beautiful and that there is a team that does their work meticulously. I have no doubt that better quality works will continue in the future.
